Hi Jeanna - can't help with sleeping tablets - I've never tried them. Hopefully somebody will have some experience of that.

What is your favorite method of helping you nod off? I like using relaxation techniques and focus on relaxing each muscle in turn - either that or watching the telly - I always seem to drop off before the end of good films - annoying that!

Best wishes - Sylvia xx

Hi Jeanna

I take Temazepam 10 mg at night - although this was part of a cocktail from the pain clinic.... amytriptyline 10 mg, gabapentin and tempazepam. The temazepam reduces the side effects from the amytriptyline. I also have a cocktail of drugs!

One thing I would say though, I find morphine stops me from sleeping and don't take it after 3 pm. I find the same happens with co-codamol too.

If you have a Pain clinic in your area, ask for a referral - or if they run a pain management course, see if you can get on one. They both really helpful and I am pleased to say my pain levels are pretty ok now... and I sleep (on and off) - but I am not so shattered in the day as I used to be.

Anne
